SA240 Pro electric VTOL UAV

Long-range capability. Runway-free operation.

The SA240 Pro takes off and lands vertically, then cruises efficiently on fixed wings. Its carbon fiber and Kevlar airframe and quick-disassembly design suit surveying, mapping, inspection, and monitoring work.

Configuration, payload, communications equipment, availability, and final specifications depend on the selected setup. Confirm details directly before ordering.

Built for missions beyond the runway

Hover to launch. Fly like a plane.

Four lift rotors handle vertical takeoff and landing, so a runway isn't needed. In forward flight, a rear pusher motor and long composite wings carry the aircraft much farther than a multirotor built mainly to hover.

The airframe comes apart for transport and folds into smaller cases. It runs the open-source ArduPilot system, so avionics, navigation, communications, and mission equipment can be configured to the job. Ask us which options are currently available and compatible with your use case.

Features

What the datasheet highlights.

Pusher motor

The rear-mounted cruise motor is efficient and keeps the propeller out of the camera's view.

Long endurance

Cruising range of up to 310 km, with 4–5 h of listed flight time.

Quick assembly

Quick-loading connections and a detachable airframe make it easier to set up and move.

Advanced flight modes

Supports remote and moving-platform takeoff and landing, terrain following, and formation flight.

Composite airframe

The carbon fiber composite fuselage is light and strong, built for a longer service life.

Payload capacity

Carries up to 2 kg of mission payload, with room for a range of sensors.

Specifications from the manufacturer's datasheet. They are not guaranteed for every mission. We'll confirm the figures that apply to your setup before you buy.

Potential applications

Made for covering ground.

Surveying and mapping

Collect aerial data for land, construction, and infrastructure projects, with an RTK option for tighter positioning.

Inspection

Fly routes along pipelines, power lines, rail, and other long assets.

Monitoring

Cover large areas again and again for environmental, agricultural, or site monitoring.

Public safety

Run mission-specific aerial observation, subject to the approvals and rules that apply.

Logistics and delivery

Carry light payloads within the aircraft's rated capacity where operations are authorized.

Configuration and options

Confirm the setup before you order.

The final system depends on the aircraft setup and the equipment you choose. Don't assume an accessory, sensor, or ground station is included unless it's listed in your written quote.

01

Flight and navigation

  • Flight controller and autopilot setup
  • GNSS and RTK equipment
  • Ground station: QGroundControl, Mission Planner, or LGC
02

Mission equipment

  • Payload or sensor type, weight, and integration
  • Data link and expected operating range
  • Remote controller, coating, and waterproofing
03

Order and support

  • Batteries and included accessories
  • Assembly, setup, and operator support
  • Availability, delivery, and final quote

A Remote ID module is listed as an option. U.S. operations generally need FAA Remote ID compliance, and long-range or beyond-visual-line-of-sight flights need the right FAA authorization. Ask us how your planned configuration fits your operation.

Common questions

SA240 Pro questions.

Can the SA240 Pro take off and land without a runway?

Yes. It's a VTOL aircraft, built to take off and land vertically. Whether a site is suitable, and what's needed to operate safely, depends on the configuration and conditions.

What payload can it carry?

The datasheet lists a maximum payload of 2 kg. Confirm the usable payload for your aircraft and mission configuration before you buy.

What is the aircraft's range and flight time?

The datasheet lists a maximum cruising range of 310 km and 4–5 h of endurance. Actual range depends on configuration, payload, batteries, weather, and operating conditions.

How accurate is its positioning?

The datasheet lists 1.5 m with single-point GNSS and 1 cm + 1 ppm with RTK. RTK needs compatible equipment and a correction source.

Does it include a camera, ground station, or RTK?

That depends on the package. Ask for a written configuration and a list of what's included. The aircraft works with QGroundControl, Mission Planner, and LGC ground-station software.

Can you help with setup?
